Look up the melling spd25. Stock 360-2 bbl replacement (yeah I know it's a flat tappet) almost a dead ringer for a comp 252 without the problems of a recent comp cam at 1/3 of the price
Put that camshaft in instead of the hydraulic roller .390? Would that work with the 318 LA 302 heads?

Would you guys send it or send it to the machine shop to be bored after honing the cylinders? My finger nails aren't catching on nothing. The bore is still stock 3.91 on all 8.

Good to go, stay stock and use the Factory mopar 9.2:1 cr flat top pistons back in there, they are already pressed onto the rods too > which can be a pain in the butt.

New piston rings of course.

You can clean up that top lip with some WD-40 and a Scotch Brite pad if it makes you feel better.

Stock Bore 1974 318, ready for the factory 9.2:1 cr pistons and rods I have here ready to go.

This is a flat tappet LA block so it's getting the Melling 340 cam and 302 heads.

NAPA years ago sold a kit that included some self tapping screws that you screwed into those exhaust ports and then smacked them with a hammer and broke them off. Sounds ridiculous but it worked VERY well.

I remember those. They worked as advertised.
