Hey all!

My name is Dustin, I'm new to Mopars but not to racing. I've had a few late model Mustangs, and just got rid of my 1st Gen Lightning for my current project and a parts car. I've got a '67 Dart 2 door post that I've just aquired yesterday, and I'm getting ready to get it solid. Looks like a great site, and I can't wait to get some more reading done.

My new project, 1967 Dodge Dart

I can't believe I got all the parts in the garage!

Hope the Mopar plays nice with the other Ford blocks.

There is also a '76 behind the garage, that's actually in better shape than the '67, but I'll get some parts off of it and part the rest out.

Welcome Quarterhorse. That's going to make a great looking set of wheels. The body also looks excellent. Keep us posted.

Ah yes, another convert, welcome quarterhorse and doesn't it feel good when you come to the light. Have fun and that's a nice ride you got there.

Thanks guys, the body is a little decieving, the whole front floor section needs replaced, including the tranny tunnel, but the sub-frame under looks good, along with the torsion bar mounts.

As far as the "converted" go, I've never really been brand loyal, it's just what I could get my hands on to go fast. This is my first oportunity to do a musclecar, it just so happens to be a Mopar. I like all makes, they at least made one car I like from all brands. :D

Well it's sure a good start and I'm also positive you will make her go fast. At time's Mops can be a *****, and many have thought what was I thinking  .....I do believe that's why we love them so much. (just like bring up kids)

Looks good! Mopars are a bit different but I have been into them since the mid 80's..I like everything though definately not a Mopar or No Car guy..but the ONLY other old car but a Mopar I've ever had was a 66 Chevy pickup truck with a 327 350 HP Vette engine in it...needless to say the ENGINE was worth more than the truck itsself :)

So whats the plan - Inquiring minds would like to help get you on the right path to kicking 5.0 Butt :toothy7:

Haha if this will run as good as my last "5.0" I will be extatic. :D

The motor is already built. 340, ported X heads, performer RPM Air Gap intake, 11.25:1 forged slugs, and for the life of me I don't remembe the carb, or the cam specs, I want to say a Voodoo cam but I'm not for sure. It also came with both a built/fresh 904 and a 4 speed. I will be switching out the 8 1/4 to either a Dana 60, which I have a housing/center section for, or finding an 8 3/4 and making it handle the load.

I need to get the body/floors solid, and in paint. I'm unsure on what I'm going to do for the rear end, I'm leaning towards moving the springs in and mini-tubbing the car, just for a little extra meat under there. Caltracs out back for sure, and I'm thinking a good stall converter and the 904 will be serving duty.

As far as interior goes, I'm up in the air. I'm not going back to the blue, so I thought about recovering the original bench seats in all black, or just the rear seats, and then going with buckets up front. I think it'd be neat to do a bench up front too, that way it's a little unsuspecting 'till I hit the key. ;)

It's got power disc on the front already, so I'll just be freshening up chassis compenents i.e. ball joints, tie rod ends, brakes etc.

I'm sure I left a ton out, but a lot is vague right now, I just need to get floors in it, and get the body solid. That's job #1 right now.

Glad to have ya. That sounds like a hell of a project. From the setup you referenced It should spank a 5.0 pretty hard right now. Too bad it is already built stroked would make it lethal. Front benches are nice but dont fit like a nicely padded racing bucket does. Welcome aboard and enjoysoem mopar madness.

Like I said, my last "5.0" ran 10.80's @ 130 + and drove like a 4 popper. ;) I'm not worried about making it fly, it's just making it look purty. :D
