2 large one barrel carbs....

Have 2 Stromberg carbs, early aviation updraft single barrel. have had them sitting on the shelf for quite a while, tried finding out what they might fit. larger one with the 3 1/8 inch throttle blade has NAR 9C2 as model #, only thing I could find was up to 400 HP usage. Second one is smaller and# NA R7A on it. Since we recently had a autogiro thread, why not old aviation carb thread. just looking for any info regarding these carbs if possible

I can't find anything on the NAR-9C2. However, I did see where the NA-R7A was used on Jacobs R-755-9 aircraft engines. These were put in Cessna UC-78s, Cessna 195s, and various Wacos. Looking at a timeframe starting around the very late 30s and early 40s. Cool stuff!
