2015 6.4 miss

2015 ram 6.4 151,000 miles
Boss calls and says his truck is running rough. Cylinder2 misfire.
I think I found out one of the causes. Now to find out if we have lifter/ cam issues

The lifter will be junk and it wiped the cam. Now the engine is full of little bits of metal.

Well a little update and I am a bit baffled. I thought like hellrats that I would find the cam lobe and lifter for that cylinder wiped. Lifter looks great with no play and bore scope shows the cam looking great also. I have all the parts already ( cam, lifters exct) so it will get all new but would like to hear some thoughts on what may have caused to pushrod to lose its tip

Does that lifter that failed have MDS?

Check to see if it stuck the valve in the guide, or if the rocker arm is stuck? Also, check lifter plunger?

Got the cam out last night. The lobes and lifters for cylinder 2 look great. Haven't broken down the heads yet to see if we have any valve issues. Did see some wear on the top of the lobe for cylinder 8 that makes me feel better about replacing the cam. The lobes on 1,4,6,7 which are the cylinder affected by the mds still look new.
