This is an unofficial event and consists of Cruising up and down Kirkwood Highway. Parcipitation was great for the 7th annual event. Although some cars just passed through, many made an evening, parked their cars and set up their lawn chairs along the highway to watch the cruise or roamed the parking lot to look at the wide range of vehicles present. Many cars were on display. Some cars would cruise the designated course and return to the small shopping center. Hooters had a funny car in front of their restaurant and a large crowd.

I know I'm in the minority here but I really like the sound of the modern engines and their exhaust.:burnout::burnout::burnout:
I like how both the State and County police helped officiate the burnout competition last year ~6:00 into post 3 video. They were present this year, hopefully just for traffic and crowd control. It's hard to capture the event since it is so spread out. I think part of it involves a legitimate car show/ benefit, and several dinner cruise in spots. Located between the old Newark Chrysler plant (torn down) and the GM Boxwood road plant (abandoned and Chinese owned now?)
They were runnin hellcats at the Nats last weekend and they sounded AWESOME!!!!! The vipers? No so much.... lol

Yep, thats my convertable! Things were pretty quite down our end due to the cops on duty @ Hooters but I understand a few accelerators got stuck taking off on the other end of Kirkwood Hwy.
