My opinion is they need to make a bare bones 4x4 SUV. my brother had a 78 Trailduster, vinyl lowback van seats, rubber mat on the floor, and what could only be described as a cut down school bus seat in the back.
Ford keeps trying to push their F150.
I agree, anymore it's hard to find vehicles that way.I have a 04 Ranger Edge with the only options are air/auto.I love the rubber floor,my Bro in law has a Tacoma with light gray carpet that looks like *** causes he uses it to go to work.I dread when my ranger dies cause nobody is making a basic small truck now and I keep hoping Ford gets back in the small truck market with a 4cyl diesel so it would get decent mpg.Ford keeps trying to push their F150.
The problem with small pickups is they cost as much to make as a big pickup minus a few pounds of steel, and they don't get much better MPG yet they seat less and haul less. Look at the latest GM offerings. You can get a nice full size GM for a similar price that gets the same MPG so nobody wants 3000# less towing and their knees in their chest in the back seat the smaller truck offers.
