Putting steelies with red circle dog dishes on and looking at redline radials. the sizes are close, but which one is a better fit? Not many pics with my search.

205 vs 215 is 10mm which is ~1/2" which is ~1/4 inch wider per side of tire. I doubt you will be able to tell the difference. I have 205/70 14 on my 67 now and they look skinny to my eye. I am stuck with the 5.5" wide rims right now and anything wider than 215 is a tight fit on the rim. (doable but not recommended by the tire manufacturers I have seen.)

Go with the 215 70 14, it’s a 1/2 taller than the 205. I have 215 70 14s on a 65 dart and they fit and look great on it. I have a 70 dart also, and if anything the 70 needs at least the same size.

I have, as stated before, 205 70 15`s on my 68 fastback, about 400 miles on them, would trade for 215 70 15`s in same shape , and what I would buy if doing it over .

running 215 70 14 on 5.5 steelies all around on my Duster. Closest place is bottom corners of the wheelwells and I think the Dart opening shape allows even more space there, Mine look skinny on the back. But I wanted a stock look.

I remember the day when you could go about anywhere and buy 245/60r14's. They were common. Filled out the back wheel well nicely! Now, special order and expensive.
