Has anyone used 215/70/15's on the front of a '72 Duster? They are mounted on Wheel Vintiques 15x6 Ralleys. The front fenders are not on the car right now (no motor either),so I can't really check for clearance. Thanks! Rod

Thats a 26.9" tire. Might be pushing it.

I prefer a 60 series tire, on 15" wheels.

my duster has 215-65-R15 on 15X7 ralley wheels on the front. looks just right, and has enough clearence, The only thing I did was to install a bolt on each lower control arm as a stop, so they don't rub the swaybar on lock to lock turns. Or I could just remove or use a different swaybar. It still steers plenty sharp enough. I think 70 series will be to close to the fender

Very close. Simply calculated, the math is 215 Millimeters x 65% or 215 x 70% That number then makes up the distance from the ground to the rim(Sidewall height). so the 65 series is 139.75 MM vs 150.5 MM. Less than 11 MM (1/2 inch)difference. the 65 is 5.50 inch sidewall and the 70 is 5.92 inches. Very close indeed. In fact different brand tires vary that much in the same sizes. also, Wider rims will "shrink" the Diameter down slightly.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies,I ended up with 205 60 15's,they look like they will fit alright.Rod
