What is the difference between the 64/66 and the later one?

The difference between 64/65 and later 273 is the center bolt angle of the intake going into the heads. If your 64 has later heads than you can use a different intake. Some guys just wallow out the holes and make the intake fit.

Center bolts believe the 2 on each side. IIRC the bolts for the 64/5 are 5/16 and later intakes are 3/8.

I believe all intake mount bolt holes are different. All depends on which heads you got. Pop a valve cover and check casting date?

I have a rare and nearly new Offy 5748 that was bolted up for break-in. It was designed specifically for the 64-65 heads.
