Just ordered my pushrod length checker for my 340 build. I'm going to use 273 adjustable rockers with my hydro lifters so after I make sure I'm at 0 Lash I will measure the pushrod length with my length checker and add the preload to get my pushrod length. Will I be ok to back the nut off with approx 1 thread showing as in the pic then I would have enough to get my adjustment from there? I guess I'm asking is there a good overall starting point before you set the preload?
