Yes, I got screwed on that, bought one that had the HiPo motor but whoever rebuilt it put in 30 over stocks. I should have checked compression when I looked at it, mine
only had 100psi on all cylinders, believe the HiPo would be over 150. Had one way back in 72 in a 65 and out ran a lot of cars - really irked off some people when they
found out how small my motor was. One of the great things about the HiPo also is that it revs really fast. I was told that was because it used floating wrist pins on pistons where most used pressed in.

my hipo 273 has 175 lbs static compression in each cyl. and mine too revs very very fast. but................. unlike most 273's mine will rev 7500 and no signs of floatings out and pulling hard thru every gear. I had a bunch of these engines and this one in my dartcharger is a freak . for sure !
