I want to put a 99-5.9 magnum in my 65 valiant , would this be an easy swap i plan on changeing the intake so i can run a carbuartor ,what about the 5.9 oil pan and motor mounts would they work i want to change the cam and the intake(comp cams thumper) and headers would about the 904 trans would it hold up to the 5,9 any advice or help would be great.........thanks mike=P~

The exhaust is going to be a real tight fit, rnless you use fenderwell headers.
The 904 will be fine, but the torque converter will need to be balanced for the engine.
I used my 67 904 with my 340 and had the trans input shaft changed to the 68 and newer. Makes more choices for converters.

Chances are you are going to upgrade converter stall speed, if so then get the proper converter for your application

There is an externally balanced flexplate by B&M, provides an option to keeping your current torque converter if not changing stall speed

You will also need a center sump oil pan

There was a huge thread on this not too long ago, think it was a 318/360 swap - one fine member listed almost ALL the considerations in the swap

Happy hunting and best of luck
