Installed new leaf springs and the pinion angle was off. Had the inboard kit sitting on shelf for about 10 years. Since I needed to install new spring perches anyway figured it was a good time to get cutten. Half way done hopefully finish it up today. I suck at welding so with the help from my buddy who welds for a living it should turn out kick :booty:

Gas tank not an issue. Super stock springs. Wheels and tires will be next years project. Mini tub next winter 15x10 black steelies 325-50R15 mickey thompson et streets.

I hope the rear shackle angle works out OK.

Lots of time SS springs required the upper sleeve to be moved forward.

Crap. I'm glad I post things here. Options for easy fix and what angle it should be unloaded/loaded. Lonewolf3165 110V mig

Close enough? Still need to weld the spring perches in. Got late I will measure the angle tomorrow.

Your fit up looks really good, and that is often 90% of the battle for getting a good weld.

Your buddies welds look good also, I've seen a lot, and I mean A LOT of ugly welds, these are some of the better looking welds I've seen posted.

Keep up the good work.

when measuring to weld in the perches do you go off the old ones or something else?
already went over the pinion angle in a different post so no need to bring up the controversial matter.

Set pinion angle using your new set up. I wouldn't rely on or use the old perch settings.

Get the car on the ground, loaded at race/driving weight, set it using that baseline.

Nice work, should work well. Good shocks help out too.

Aint that the truth! I would have posted up pics of my welds before this. They arent horrible, but compared to these weld's,they look amature.I think I'll need to practice more before welding on my Dart. Seems I've kinda lost the touch for welding over the year's. They sure dont look near as nice as those.

Thanks for the advice. One thing I wish I would have considered is the fuel line I just installed is probably going to have to be relocated once I do the mini tub.

^^^^^is that short piece of tube welded to the bottom of the housing for putting a jack underneath?
