318 block mounting ears to spool mount bracket orientation

Trying to find out if the spool mount bracket ears mount behind the ears on the block on both left and right sides. I assume left side shown below is correct? If so, does right side mount same way? Thanks.

The bracket goes on the back of the ears...

The bolts go in from the front point rearward, then slide the bracket on and install the nuts...
