I am getting close to putting in a rebuilt LU 727 that was behind a 318 truck and was thinking of using the converter that was in it since it is fairly new. I plan on either buying a off-set flex plate for the LA 360, or a high stall 360 LU converter for it. I fugured with the 318 conveter behind the 360 is should stall a little higher. Do you think that it will stall the same or higher than the 360 converter with them both being 11"converters?
It is going to be behind a basically stock rebuilt 360 4 barrel, 3.23 rear in a 71 B body as a daily driver. The goal is consistant 20 mpg and I am almost there. What are your thoughts on the converters? Thanks!
