I am driving a 71 demon with a 318 engine, 3 speed with a stock 22" radiator(new) and a 17" 7 blade fan. I have an autometer temp gauge that is accurate. I added a shroud last week. I have also installed an a/c from classic. The car heats up nicely to 180 and stays there unless when am stuck in traffic stopped for a train or something else. Then it heats up to 190-205 but quickly returns to180 when I start moving. There are only 2" between the fan and the radiator right now. I am considering wiring an electric cooling fan in front of the radiator and wiring it so it runs whenever the compressor is running. Is there an advantage to adding a fan clutch? Space may become an issue, but I think it is a doable job if I need it.
Thanks guys

Everything is normal. Congratulations on building a cooling system that is simple and works. A great many here have a hard time doing what you just did.
