318 to 360 switchout in a 72 Dart

Can anyone tell me what oil pan I should use in this changeover? I am going with a 78 360LA and removing the 318. Will the 318 pan work on the 360 and clear the steering drag link?

318 pan will not work on a 360. You need a center sump 360 pan.

Thanks for the info. I just missed the pan on the Ebay auction. Sold! Any idea about the externally balanced aspects of the 360? I have the original 360 harmonic balancer, but I am wondering if the flex plate and converter from the 318 will work on the 360?

you will need a 360 convertor or a balanced flex plate.

Motor mounts are slightly different as well. Scumacher can hook you up. Otherwise, a straightforward swap, just use all the brackets and accessories from the 318.
