I've read that 1968 340 4 speed a body had a more aggressive cam than a automatic. Does the idle in these cars have a detectable choppy idle?

a little more chop, good cam for an automatic also.
Oregon Cams has one available now that is very close to the original 340 4 speed cam... contact Ken Heard at Oregon Cam Grinders for more info...
