340 block value?

Ok, so there is a71' 340 block that has been bored .040 and honed. It also comes withnew freeze plugs and Ross forged pistons. The guy is asking 900 bucks for both. What do you guys think these are worth? iS 900 a good deal? what do you think I should offer him? Thanks. Oh, and what should I pay for used 14 in rally rims with like new tires?

Well the pistons are a bit over $500 so that's $400 for a block with some machine work done.

I can see where the seller came up with the $900 but I wouldn't pay it.

If it's from my car, then no it's not a good deal...

See if you can get the vin off it, might be somebody looking for a lost engine for their car.

Well what if I offered the guy 700 for both the pistons and block? do you guys think that would be a good deal?

Does it have the crank and main caps and is it all together? What is reputation of shop who did the work? If you do get it I would have it all checked out before running it.
