By legacy grind I mean, a reiteration of one of Lunati's older style hydraulics...so many people now use their Voodoo line, and they're great cams, but the quick ramps are also a little demanding on the spring rates unless you like valve float.
The pre-Voodoo grinds, like Street Master, Strip Master, and Bracket Master cams were the ones I recall seeing in Jeg's and Summit catalogs when I first got into it.
I don't really think you'd *need* much more than a warmed up 318 to motivate a '66 Val around...I'm betting that will be a fun ride
