my question is where all 340 darts made in Canada in 1970? that was my understanding

Someone who knows better will probably chime in, but yes, I think a bunch were made here in Windsor, Ontario.

When I first bought my Dart , I visited a web site that was a registry for 340 Swingers(1970 ) maintained by a guy called Joel Cooper.
This is some info he gave me:
Total of approx 13,800 cars made
Approx 10,400 made for export to USA
955 were 3 spd stick cars
4423 4 speeds
5000 automatics
Y05 code on fender tag represents USA export
Y07 for Canadian delivery
And to the best of my knowledge all 340 darts were made in Windsor.
Every car that I have seen a car for sale or in person it has always had the "R" in the VIN # ( eg, LM23 H0"R" with "R" for Windsor )
Back approx. 5 years ago , he had over 1200 VIN #'s registered .
He also told me that my FF4 colored car was 1 of approx 480 made.
These are approximate #'s.
This site was the only one that had stats available that I could find.
If anybody knows of any other location for stats I would certainly like to see them!

Joel, if I was to send you a VIN number, would be able to check the registry? My Dad had one, and sold it back in '71.
Been looking for a year and can't seem to find one.
