340 fuel pump eccentric

Do I need the fuel pump eccentric if I'm using an electric fuel pump? I'm getting ready to put the timing chain on.

Why not put the part in there anyway ? If the need to install the mechanic pump should arise it is doable.

you knida need it as a spacer/washer and nice to have it in there in case you go back to mechanical pump......jmo

I always wondered the same thing,running an electric fuel pump,but did put it back on my motors thinking it was also a spacer..

My 89 360 I took apart a few months ago had one installed from the factory although it wasn't used. I agree it is needed as a spacer anyway so install it.
