I bought a "matched set" of 340 exhaust manifolds and to my surprise and disappointment one side is only 1 7/8 outlet. The other side is 2 1/4. When I saw it I told the seller he gave me a wrong side, he says no, that is a factory numbers matched pair.

Why would Mopar do that? Won't that make the engine off balanced? I had planned on running 2 1/2 full exhaust.

Thanks

Mark

i thought both sides were 2 1/4".. have you checked the part numbers to make sure they are both 340 manifolds?

Mopar Didn't mismatch manifolds, I think your seller did. The 68,69 and 70 340 HP Manifolds that I own both have 2 5/16 outlet opening measurements. I'm about 99% certain that the newer HP Manifolds (71/72) should both have the same 2 1/4" outlets.

If that's the ad, unless it was changed, it's pretty clear what was for sale.

Like bbrroowwnn says, you need the early drivers or later pass side to match them up.

$250 is a great deal for those two manifolds.

I bet he used that POS chart that another person posted in the tech section that has a bunch of wrong cast numbers for 340's. According to that list, they are matched... but, the list is WRONG!!!
