340 t/a heads

If you don't do some work to those ta heads, the engine will be out of steam at 5000ish at best.

Good luck.

I have a set of ta heads ported by Diamond engineering out of Detroit Mi. Can anyone tell me what these would be worth.

If you have flow numbers and a sheet to back them up from the place that ported them, could be worth a decent amount

X-head as ported by Cogswell Motorsports in Chula Vista, CA.

Lift----------Intake-----------Exhaust

.100 _______80________ 63.81
.200 ______134.4_______115.15
.300 ______187.7 ______161.42
.400 _______224 _______179.3
.500 ______236.8 _______190.7
.600 ______256.7 _______193.7

Remove the pushrod pinch on this "typical" ported X-head and you will be in the ballpark of a Shocker, AFR, SM, Edelbrock. Not a lot of juice for the amount you have to squeeze.

@72SwingerJosh I'm in the camp of selling what you have over on www.forebodiesonly.com and buy a better head. I know money is not growing on trees that affords us the ability to go buy perfect but what you have is a great way to trade up.

Pretty hard to evaluate heads by looking at pics on the net.
Even harder without any pics.

Step one if you’re serious about putting a value on them is having them cleaned and magnafluxed.

The porting only adds value to them for some potential buyers…….. but they wouldn’t be worth what a set of really clean untouched ones are.

The well used ported variety can end up costing a lot of $$$ to bring back into prime condition.
