Picked up a 72 340 cast crank engine.
Just going thru it to make sure it is right.
.010 crank .030 bore with KB 243 pistons.
Ported 974 heads with stock valves.
Without cc the heads it looks like about a 9.7 compression engine.
LD340 manifold with a 700 holley DP
I bought this cam for it.

It is going in an all steel duster with a 4-speed which I have my choice of 3.23 gears which are in the car or 4.30.

How do you guys think it will run?

If you're just street driving it, leave the 3.23's.

I hear ya but they are supposed to pave a new drag strip this fall.
Car is nothing but a toy.

20 miles from the house right up the interstate.
340 should do fine, but it it dont cut it, plan B
