340 Upper Rad Hose Too Short

I have a 1969 340 with the stock cast intake and what I believe is the correct rad (#2949-066). However, the upper rad hose that my local supplier lists comes up about an inch short. It will, reach but just barely. I,m sure that the movement from the engine tourqe will pull it off when I put my foot into it. Can anyone recommend a hose that will overcome this problem? Thanks for any input.......
 
Thanks for the tip. I just looked up the specs on the 20602 and it looks like the one I require. Much appriciated.
 
If you still need some help, PM "lemondana" on the board here. He really knows hoses and will know forsure your correct hose. He even has some NOS hoses he'll sell you for fair prices. He's helped me on my 340 get the right belts/hoses. He said alot of people run the wrong upper on their cars, same issue you had. His name is Myron.
 
Will be picking up a Gates hose on Monday. If it doesn't work, I will be sure to contact "lemondana". Thanks for the tip.....
