360 Converter Externally Balanced

Is this externally balanced for 360la where you dont need the B&M flex plate or still need the flex plate.

I don't believe so. I think that's there just to balance the converter itself. The external balance weights for the 360 are a good bit thicker than that. At least that's how it looks to me.

No, The weight will be on the front of the converter.

The weight on the outside side is to balance the converter to neutral. Then if needed for a cast crank external balance the proper weight/weights are welded on the front. Kim

At a converter rebuilding facility, the converter is put on a balancer to make sure it meets factory specs. If it doesn't, a weight will be added (as shown in your photo) to have it properly balanced.
