Have a 360la that was out of a ramcharger w/5000 mi. on it, put it ina 69 Dart headers, eddy heads, 650eddy on a 318/360performer ,msd ,crane h260-2 cam 427/454 260/272. stock converter, 3.23 gears, 24intire street car. I feel the motor is under cammed for the application now. I want to install 1.6 rockers and change to air gap intake. I have researched some but I value your thoughts on here ,alot of you guys are really sharp. THX in advance!

My 360 loves the MP cam 280 dur 474 lift your 360 is a little different than mine BTW what makessss ya think its under camed? PS welcome aboard.

Your cam doesnt seem to bad but I would def. look into a better converter and ditch the performer intake. I have been told on here that those are not much better than stock. Go with the air Gap and get a good stall converter built and you will notice a difference.

I pulled up the specs on that Crane stick and i believe you are indeed a little under cammed......

With the 59* geometry issues and the less then perfect factory rocker ratio your intake lift is barely above .400". Along with the [email protected] int duration, that's little more then a stock cam. With the Air-Gap manifold you can definetely do better. I can look at a few grinds and post some thoughts in a few.

With the stock converter i would go no more then either of these, and the Eddy valve spring installed height @1.80" should allow going 1.6 on the rockers if you choose......

P.S........

Since you have a Crane now, i'll also throw in the 272......454/480" 216-228*@.050

Of the three, i personally like the Lunati the best for your combo. I should also mention piston to valve clearence if you choose 1.6 rockers. Should be checked, but if your running the stock pistons which are pretty deep in the cylinder i doubt it would be a issue.

I didn't want to get into the cam, I just wanted to put the rockers on top of the cam I have now. Talked crane and they said it would add 30lift and about 4 duration.Puts it real close to a XE262H specss with alot less work. I'm just wondering if theres a down side.

Sorry, i thought you were talking both :D. Performance wise, i don't see a huge gain, but any will surely help. One possible problem that i've seen some members have here is the pushrods hitting the pass thru hole in the head when 1.6 rockers are used. If that's the case, they would have to be machined larger for clearance.

Here's what i'm talking about in this link........http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/...01_mopar_performance_valvetrain/photo_15.html
