took the 360 to the machine shop. Had the engine pressure tested and maged and being bored 40 over due to some good pitting. deck milled to align with mains, cam bearing and freeze plugs installed, valley painted. rotating assembly internally balanced. I will be using a stock crank, scat i beam rods, and kb 107's. Now....this is not going to be a street motor, not super concerned about gas mileage though. Now for the questions of curiosity, what would be better, I have two sets of stock heads, one with 1.88 intake and the other with 2.02's which should i use for this build, I'm looking to make 400 to the crank " hopefully". What would be the best cam selection whether it be solid or flat tappet. I will be running an rpm airgap with a 750 demon, comp roller rockers and headers.

2.02 intake valve, the same cam I have in my 410-engle .573 lift/252*@.050/284*/110cl installed 4* advance or get 4.10 gears and run it straight up.

you will make over 400 hp.

WHEW! Heavy cam for the power level there bud.

Turbo, what's the goal of the engine and purpose of the car?

Well preped and bowl ported/gasket matched heads w/2.02's and a 230 @ 050 cam can make 400 hp with your listed parts.

fishy 68 has a comp solid, 244/252 @o.50 520/540 with 1.5 or with 1.6 550/570 , its already broke-in with lifters, he might part with it, thats a 400 hp cam

not really, it's only 64* of over lap 'only 4* more than the .528 solid and with a 110cl it'll still be a broad torque curve.

It's fast, thats all.

even though I'm 50 cubes bigger, I'm only running 3.73 and it'll give you a back adjustment just breathing on the pedal..with leaky valves.

go soild!

I meant to type "it will be a street motor". sorry about that. I know that changes everything.
