Never seen this before, these are off a 71 383 fury11 , What application would have needed this? Theses appear to be the end of a run, use up leftovers, 906 heads regular springs BUT had single groove intake valves . Ideas anyone?

I don’t know why they’re put there...... but when I was doing a lot of oe heads, I’d run into that fairly routinely.
But, never on a 906.
Usually I’d see them on 346’s.

Thanks for the responses guys, I was just curious as to what application may have used this. My guess is it's for a temp sending unit when being used in an industrial application (eg fork lift) and that it was the end of the run for 906's in 71 so stuff just got used up, including the single groove "six pack" intake valves. Get the **** of the shelf and in with the new for 72.
