have an opportunity to pickup Two 383 long blocks . Basically only $ is gas money to pick them up . Would it be worth getting them ? Thinking about doing a big block 67 dart . I don't know much about the 383 big block .

Sure they are worth money especially if you have only gas money in them. Sell them to a B body guy and find a 360 to put in your early A. It will be easier.

Had a box stock 68 383 4 speed Roadrunner many moons ago that didn't loose many street races against cars you wouldn't think it could beat. Hell yeah I would pick them up for just gas money.

I had to pay $500.00 for my 383 and 727 The block was std bore both needed rebuilding. And that combo went into my A body with ease, a low deck does fit better into an A body than an RB motor.

Looks likes by his avatar picture he has a 64 Dart. Wedge motors don't go in those with ease. Just sayin'.
