Looking for a 4.10 gear set for 489 case, and a good sure grip (Power-Lok)

Way too friggin much for me, like $1400 +/- depending where you look, upwards of $1500! No way I'd ever pay that. I'm piecing it together instead, setting it up myself. Amazon Prime is having some outstanding pricing on various parts like Yukon cases, master rebuild bearing kits, etc. More than half off the prices you see elsewhere. Patience will pay off as I should be able to assemble what I want for about $800....maybe even less.

Would a set of 4.30 work with sure grip in a 489 case?...

I think you would be better off putting one together yourself.

I bought a 4.10 489 case sure-grip set up used about 6 months ago for $700 and drove 3 hrs to pick it up.

Around a year ago I bought a 5.38 in a 489 case with a sure-grip for $350 just to put higher gears in, for the price it was easy worth the price of a gear change.

Might..... running 27" tires now, thinking of upping to 28" when they wear out. Running some numbers again!
