I didn't see the too many men call. I thought the officials did a decent job. They let them play for the most part. Also nobody wanted to be the guy who's action causes a power play and possibly a goal.

Yes it was a missed call. and the explanation that they were close to the bench was BS. Seen much less flagrant too many men called.
Good game.
US was too puck focused, 3 chasing the puck, leaving one of the most dangerous players in the world alone in the slot. Yeah that didn't end well for them.
Yes, If it had of been a regular season game it probably would have been called. I think they looked at it as it didn't effect the play at all so they let it go. I saw some infractions for both sides that would have been called during a regular season game that they let go. It makes for a better game if they just let them play if there is no cheap **** happening.
Your right on the winning goal, I couldn't believe they lost track of McDavid after the way they were shadowing him for most of the 2 games they played.

I was playing hockey while the game was on. Some of my team mates were recording the game and didn't want to know anything about the score. We're in the dressing room having our post game beers and suddenly the bar above our room explodes with cheering, as do people watching on their phones outside our room. We knew it had to be overtime. Mystery over.
Agree about letting them play, except, it wasn't one guy. One guy let it go. it was three IIRC that dorked that change.

Same here Aaron, recess, after school street hockey, I WAS Palmateer lol! Remember he took a shot to the mask one Saturday night and he wouldn't let them pull him. He really was remarkable
I was playing goal and living in Sarnia in the Palmateer era. He was one of my favourites.
