My 67 barracuda has a non original 4 spd installed without the console. The shifter is on the drivers side of the center hump. I am curious if I wanted a manual console installed, is it as easy as getting an offset shifter to bring the shifter to center of the hump? Or does more need to be changed?

That is roughly the correct location of the shifter!! If it were centered in the hump, it would be directly above the trans tailshaft, in which case you would need a Ford top loader trans! Mopar shifters mount on the side of the tailshaft!!!

Yes there are console specific shifter handles that put the handle into the center of the console.

Now the big question...are they hard to find? Expensive?

I realize that, however, the manual consoles have shifter centered.

The link I pasted has them at $240. That is a BOLT-IN style, If your shifter mechanism is a PUSH-IN (or bayonet) style, you would need to change out that part of the mechanism- $15 from the same website. Or-keep your eyes peeled on the for sale forums.
