I have a 1976 Dart Sport that I put a 318 in that came out of a 1968 Barracuda, can anyone tell me if that engine is internally or externally balanced? I want to convert from a 904 to a 4 speed.

318 are internally balanced, so you will need an neutral balanced flywheel.

Thank you for the reply. Can I use a tranny out of a truck or E body and just change the tailshaft?

No, tailshaft lenth is different too. Better to use an A body transmission. Look around, there're plently.

Brewers can sell you a rebuilt A body tranny for a reasonable price.
