Hi folks,
yesterday I bought some left over parts from an original 1967 barracuda fastback 225 four speed. It was a console shifted car with the inland shifter mechanisme.
I would like to build the tranny into my low budget 1968 valiant 2dr sedan. The valiant however has a bench seat while the barracuda used to have buckets.
Can I use the inland console shifter with my bench seat, or will I have problems shifting the 2nd and 4th gear?
I know the inland shifters were, and are, not that popular, but if mounted properly, are they ok to drive, or do I need to upgrade to a hurst shifter? (I really like the reverse lock-out look of the inland) It's not going to be raced, just a daily driver (4000 kilometers a year)
Thanks,
Toon
