4 speed swap to 727

I have a 68 Barracuda with a 360 and a A-833 4speed. I want to swap to a TF 727. I need to know what I will need to do. Will the mounts work or do I need to find new mounts? If I get a 727 out of a 80's 2wd van or truck will the tailshaft work? If I need a new Tailshaft what should I look for? Any help would be great. My goal is to have the car running by mid august.

The van trans might be OK as long as it's the long tailshaft and the yoke does not have a nut holding it in. Otherwise you need to get he tail changed out or find a way to use the bolt up yoke.

What are you doing with the old 4 speed stuff. I have a SB 727.

I want to sell it but I dont know how much money I can get for it. It worked great when it was parked a couple of years ago.

You could try to find some one with a 727 in there car that wants a 4-speed and swap them.
