4 speed tunnel

I have a 67 fastback that someone converted from 4 speed to auto and cut and welded and pop riveted metal on to the tunnel, it is kind of flat and square on the side and I am having trouble figuring out where to put the original hole for the 4 speed , I can't find a picture of a 4 speed tunnel to see what it should look like , does any body have one thanks

I have a 68 auto that I scrapped and the tunnel was rounded and I got the hump to change it but the67 was a 4 speed originally and was more square like the conversion one but they added metal to the top of it and the trouble I'm having is were to put the original hole , I am looking for an original 4 speed tunnel picture to compare , but thanks for the response

If your just trying to determine the hole on the existing mess, just straight edge up from underneath, of course the trans and shifter without handle needs to be installed. Find center`s each way.

I'm trying to do it with everything out because I'm getting ready to paint and need to do the floor , I guess I'll just have to paint it and put the hole in after I put it back together again

On my '72 I just dropped the hump down over the shifter and kinda centered it in the shifter hole. So, on older cars it's the entire driveshaft hump that's different?

It’s not just the hole for the shifter that’s important. If you want or need to get the shifter in or out while it is all assembled.The tunnel needs to be installed in the correct location. If it is shifted to far towards the passenger side even slightly there won’t be enough clearance. If you are saying the original tunnel remains welded to the floor then yes just locate the shifter hole. Good luck..Swingn’

Mine is an original 67 Barracuda 4 speed.
The bracket on top of the hump is for bench seat cars only, it prevents the seat from going too far forward.
