I've had my Dart for almost 10 years now and I have been collecting parts to build a 408 W2 motor and it's finally about done. Using closed chamber race W2's with 66CC chambers. The intake is a ported Victor JR with a 750 CFM Holley HP mechanical secondary. TTI headers and TTI 2.5" X pipe exhaust.

Cam is a Comp .597/.585 solid flat tappet. Bottom end is a 360 based 408 forged crank, rods and pistons. Engine made 533 hp @ 5700 and peaked at 540 ft/lbs @ 4900. Makes 513 ft/lbs @ 3700 and stays above 500 all the way to 5500.

Using a Dynamic 9.5" convertor and 3.55's. Took the opportunity to make several changes/upgrades. Installed a new fuel tank with 3/8" lines all the way to the motor. Relocated the battery to the trunk, new wiring harnesses under the hood and rebuiding the heater box (new core, blower motor and seals), restored wiper motor and a few other odds and ends. Hope to have it on the road in the next few weeks, here are some pics of the progress hope you enjoy

I can't wait :burnout:

Have the w-2's been ported, or are they stock ports?

The runners were left untouched, the bowls were worked and the valves were unshrouded.

Thank you for the compliments. Especially with these BFG Radials, I see drag radials in my near future.
