Hi guys,

Currently I am running a 408 W2 combo in my 69 Barracuda fastback here in Australia. It has run an 11.7 at 115.5 mph with the following engine combo and is very street able but wasn't really setup for quarter mile running.

750hp Holley
248@50 comp solid flat tappet
Stock w2 heads unported
W2 Mopar inlet
Tti step headers
10.5:1 compression

I have just landed a W5 top end package and want to get the best out of the new top end that will go on the forged 408 bottom end I currently have that hasn't done many miles.

Parts and specs so far for the new W5 combo will be:

408 stroker 360
Forged scat crank
H beam scat rods
Forged pistons
W5 heads with good port job(hoping for around 320cfm)
W5 mopar inlet.
Compression should be in the 11 to 11.5:1 range
MRL solid roller lifters
TTI 1 7/8" W5 pipes
1.6:1 roller rockers

Looking for suggestions on a solid roller camshaft and carby, the car will be run on 98 octane pump gas or e85. Car will still do a fair percentage of street driving and run around 3.91 gears and approx 4000rpm converter. I don't want too aggressive a grind which might require a heap of spring pressure and constant replacement.

I know that there might be a lot of different schools of thought and multiple suggestions but just want some ideas.

Thanks.

call mike at mrl , that is where I would go, and he knows what he s talkin bout
