426 Race Hemi Cross ram Aluminum Intake Manifold

I have a 426 Race Hemi Cross ram Aluminum Intake Manifold that will be installed on my 1970 Hemi block.

This manifold is date coded 6. 24. 63
Casting number 2468045.

I was informed that this intake was very rare as only three were made.

Is there anyone online that has any knowledge of the early Hemi R & D. Some are saying it’s a Direct Connection R & D intake as the Hemi was introduced in 1964.

[SOLD] Mopar Chrysler 1964 Superstock Race Hemi Aluminum Crossram Intake Manifold.​

This is a 1964 Race Hemi, Aluminum Dual 4bbl. Crossram, Intake manifold, out of my collection, rat hole, stash, accumulation, hoard, of Hemi parts that i have had for decades.

Casting # is 2468045 with a casting date of 6 17 64.

This manifold is in stock, unaltered condition.
Not cut up, butchered, or altered.
One fine manifold, that i have now put up for sale.

Here is one that I had. May 25, 1964 date. I sold it about 6 year ago.

The date is pretty amazing really. Considering that Frank Bialk didn't even start designing the Hemi head until 3-28-63. And this intake was cast on 6-24-63. A lot was going on in 90 days. Those guys were moving fast. Of course it was easier for Forbes Bunting to design this manifold because he had the Max Wedge manifold as a starting point. This manifold was way before there was a Direct Connection.

[FOR SALE] - MOPAR-CHRYSLER 1964 Superstock Race Hemi Crossram Intake Manifold, Carburetors, Linkage, Fuel Lines.

Whoever gave you that figure of only 3 intake manifolds were produced is severely undercutting the amount that were ever manufactured.
Nobody will ever know the total, but there had to be a few hundred of them made.
After all there were factory super stock hemi cars built and then also manifolds that would have been sold over the parts counter.
If three were ever manufactured, i would of had two of them, and you the third.
That's just to hard to believe.
My current set up is what's now up for sale.
