Hello all, I wanted to get some opinions on camshaft selection.
The car is a 1970 Dart strip only bracket car.
440 +.040, stock forged crank, flat top pistons. 727 with rmvb 3500 stall converter, 4.10 gears, 29.5×10.5×15 hoosier slicks. Cal tracks w/ split mono's. Approximately 11.5:1 static
Closed chamber '67 heads with 2.14 /1.88 valves home ported using the MP templates.
Car weighs approximately 3050 with me in it.
I'm trying not to run a solid roller mostly because of cost although if I found a decent used one that wouldn't be out of the question. So I'm thinking solid flat tappet. The 2 im currently looking at are from Comp. #1 is sk-21-249-4
Which is 260/[email protected] 110lsa. Just curious what anyone here's thoughts on these or other cams?

And #2 is cl21-233-4 which is 252/[email protected] 110lsa

You need something on a 107 LSA. No wider than 108.

Forget comps Chevy lobes for Mopar. Look into Howard's cams and Hughes engines. They're the same cams but Hughes gives you some guidance on their website. I like them, they're prett aggressive lobes same size .904 as the lifters, I'd also recommend the edm lifters.
With that tire size and converter I'd think something in the mid to high 250s @.050 would be about right. But on the 108 lsa, I know they don't have shelf 107 lsa. My next cam will be on a 106 lsa

Hughes has a setup they guarantee will almost match a solid roller for power. Has to do with their lightweight lifters. Call Dave and see what he says.
