440 power guestimation

spend some money on your heads! look at chevy head flow numbers, and u can see how bad 440 heads really are. chrysler really screwed up by not designing better heads for this motor, they could have had a rat killer w/ better head design. their are guys that can wake them up fairly well, but they won`t even compare w/ a decent set of alum. heads, which still should be looked at real close before install.-just my 2 centavos---bob

I ran with the best of them running "bone" stock 906 heads, Yes, "BONE" stock, look at my sig, that was in a 75 duster, Hyd. FT cam & bolt-ons, 9.73 compression, 4.10 gears & a 4400 stall. Its all in the combo. Ran a best of 10.91 at 120 on a 1.51 60ft., I then made some changes, small FT solid, TR with 2 600s, & some port work to the heads i did myself, still ran the stock sized valves. Ran a best of 10.87 @ 123.58 on a shitty 1.628 60ft. "un-tuned", Car had 10.6s ritten all over it, Can't remember how many times how surprised people were when they saw i was running factory iron heads, I only shifted at 5800. Hows that for Mopar Power.

BBMs lack 2 things, compression & cam, put these in with bolt-ons, gears & stall to match, It'll kick *** in any A body.

Looks like a winner in a Duster. If you need some work done to those 452s, you could send them to Jim Laroy...but I'm pretty sure you already knew that from this and your other previous build thread. He might even have a set of 906s for sale...
