So there is a 440 on craigslist that I spoke with the owner about, it is from a 77 RV, it has 902 casting heads, I have heard of 906's of course, but what's the scoop on 902's? I am sure it is a low compression work horse, and reportedly has low miles. From what I'm told the motor mounts from the RV will actually work in an A body, with spool type motor mounts, with some adjustment, I don't know if that is true or not. Can someone tell me anything about this? I think a big block A body is nearing my horizons, friends, I am ready for the real McCoy.

902 heads are pretty much the same as 452's and 906's as far as flow goes. The main difference between 902's and 906's is that the 902's will have hardened seats. I've got an RV 440 in one of my cars. It has some low end grunt, but it runs out of steam pretty quickly with the 8:1 compression.
