what is the going rate for rebuilt short block 440's with forged pistons? one is .030, the other .060.

Local has a dart for sale with 2 440's & 1 bb transmission. thanks Lawrence

No idea, I 'm will do some investigating , if that is the route then the shop used will also carry merit. Ball park values say done at local machine shop? Thx

No paperwork , seller got them in a package deal, sounds questionable at best. What value for no paperwork ?

I would bypass the .060 over block. Have you seen the engines?
Forged or cast cranks?
Can you check to see how far the pistons sit in the bore, if they were truly bored out or just honed and look at the bearings before buying?
No cam or lifters?

Unless receipts can be produced I would say $500.00 to 600.00 if it happens to have a forged crank.
