I am preparing to get into a 451 build and I have a question, will I have to buy a 440 intake if I use 440 915 heads on my low deck engine? Also which engine would I order my headers for?

With a stock head you'll use a regular B intake manifold 383-400, not an RB 413-426-440.

No you will need to order the intake for the low deck motor (383,400) as all head dimensions are the same for the big blocks no matter what they came off of. Also you will need the headers off the low deck engine also but i guess i should mention this is all assuming your building the 451 with a 400 block and 440 crank and not just boring a 440. Which i would assume you are but just making sure so im not mixing you up Good Luck Justin

Vic, I think thats a great combo on paper, but I've never tried it myself. Let us know how it works out.
