I am selling a complete 499 ci race engine originally built by Hensley Performance.
400 block with Indy 440-1 heads. According to original build sheet I received it has an Eagle 4.15 stroker crank, Ross pistons 13.42 compression ratio.
I bought the car with this engine in it, was told it was just freshened up.
I only ran it in four races last season, and it ran between 6.08 and 6.14 at 112 in the 1/8 mile. The car weighs 3337 lbs with driver.
I also have the 727 transmission with converter (not sure of the brand)
Asking $15,000 for engine (carb to pan) plus transmission and converter.
Asking $12,000 for engine alone (carb to pan)
