Was installing the extension housing back on after checking out the synchros and replacing gaskets. Trying to be mindful of the needle bearings in the input shaft. Had to wiggle and play with it to get it up to the input shaft more than I liked. I checked the bearings before I slid the mainshaft in all the way, and it slid right in and the extension housing sits flush with the main case.
My question is, can the extension housing seat to the main case with a bearing fall out of place? Just curious. Everything seems fine, bench shifts, etc.
