5.9 cam in a 5.2?

I had to pull my 2001 5.2. Now I will probably freshen it up with rings and bearings. Anybody know if a 5.9 cam will work in this engine?

It will BUT it is a Smaller cam. The hot trick on the cheap is a 5.2 cam in a 5.9 for more power. So, stick with the stock cam or visit Comp cams for something hotter, bolt in, no computer mods.

I would recommend a set of new valve springs, stock. The miles ramp up quick on late model Magnums, springs are mild to start. ( JMO)
