I am considering doing a 5 speed swap into my 69 Plymouth Valiant and kinda want to do it junk yard style. What Tremec trans is best to look for? Should I go with a stock mopar pedal assembly? Any tips would be great, I want to start getting parts.

Thanks,

Shannon

Call american powertrain about a hydraulic clutch with factory pedals. They might even sell you just the angled adapter (that angles the master to work with factory pedals). I'd take my business to them if I was starting over.

I have a keisler tko600 kit in my car. I'm pleased. I had to chop half of my tranny crossmember out, though. If you have an un-modified tko600, you will have to cut the entire tranny crossmember out. For that reason, I would recommend opening up your shopping to include the tko600, t56, and passon 5 speed.

Are you currently a factory 4 speed?
